Facelift for popular stove

Swedish Contura manufactures stoves in the heart of rural southern Sweden where innovative engineering skills and modern design have made Contura one of the world’s leading stove manufacturers. The Contura 800 is a smaller version of the world’s most popular stove, the Contura 500. The range is now being updated and extended with more features and a more elegant design.

Contura 800 Style is a compact and capable stove. Compared with its predecessor, it has taller and wider glass areas, the side panels have fewer seams and there are more colours to choose from. Its features have also been upgraded to include Contura’s patented automatic start function (ASF) for fast lighting and booster function that brings embers back to life. The heat output has been further improved by the new, innovative design of the firebox, and the handles are easier to grip and remain cold even when the stove is hot.

Old timber cabin or newly-built home? Whatever the style, you’ll find materials and colours here to suit. Maybe you prefer natural heat-retaining soapstone or a stylish, contemporary white stove? Perhaps you’re looking for a stove with a storage compartment beneath or a turntable so you can view the fire from anywhere in the room. Contura 800 Style comes in many versions and a choice of different sizes – all offering outstanding quality. Once you’ve decided on a stove, consider adding a black, grey or white aluminium, black glass or soapstone top, and a hotplate too.

The combustion technology of modern woodburners is far better than older stoves, which means a home can be heated in a virtually carbon neutral way. Contura’s woodburners already comply with the stringent requirements of the EU’s Eco-design Directive for 2022.
