Viewed through generous glass doors and sidelights, the fire is quite the eye-catcher in the room. The Contura 500 Style stoves are not only attractive, they’re excellent at heating too, providing efficient combustion and multiple features that make it safer and simpler to keep a fire burning. They come in a choice of materials and stove designs, along with heat storage, a fan, hotplate, log box, floor protector and other accessories.
Contura 500 Style has an elegant, aesthetically-pleasing design. The stove is also brimming with smart features, many borrowed from the larger Contura 600 Style range. Automatic start, a booster and a quiet-slide ash pan are new features that you’ll love. The Contura 500 Style has also been upgraded with a new cast-iron and glass door, a new combustion damper design and an improved mechanism for door stop in open position.
ASF - Automatic start function
Is an ingenious function that automatically controls the lighting air through the grate. It means that the door can be shut at the same time that the start-up fire is lit and the stove therefore becomes completely independent of room air. Which means it feels safer not having to leave the stove with an open door during the start-up fire. It is also perfect for modern buildings with negative pressure. The function is unique to Contura and a patent applied for.
RBF - Refuelling boost function
With the boost function you can ”save” embers that have nearly died. You just open the handle on the left, new oxygen flows in from below and brings out the embers so that the new wood catches light. After a short time you can once again enjoy a beautiful fire and heating.
SSA - Silent sliding ashtray
Beauty in the smallest detail we say – and mean it. Contura 500 Style has a new ashbox, which, thanks to its design and damping function, slides quietly and softly during emptying.

Contura 500 Style is a development of our most popular models in the 500 series. The lines are cleaner and the functions have been improved. The glass door gives a light, modern appearance, at the same time that the clean lines of the design allow the wood burning stove to blend into your home, whatever style you prefer. On the Contura 500 Style the top is thinner, and the damper and handle are more integrated into the front of the stove.
Damper and handle
Handles and damper knob in a new material that does not get hot when the stove heats up. The handles have also been extended.
Tops
Choose the top that suits you best at home. The tops are available in the following designs: painted aluminum, glass or soapstone.
Soapstone with side lights
Surround in heat retaining soapstone now around the whole side light. Available on the stoves Contura 556T and 596T.
